As a heat-resistant modifier in ABS, PVC, photosensitive materials  and PMMA resin , it can improve the heat resistance, impact resistance, hotmeltability and processability of the resin. When NPMI is added 1%  as a comonomer to ABS, the heat distortion temperature can be increased by 2°C; When 10% NPMI is mixed with ABS, the heat resistant temperature can reach 125-130°C. It also has radical polymerization properties and can be easily homopolymerized or copolymerized with other vinyl monomers.
